And, as already mentioned, roaring fires (with or without books or movies – preferably with). What do I just “love” about winter: The dark…eating dinner in the dark, waking up in the dark, spending most of your time in the dark. I need light. The cold….I am increasingly intolerant of the cold, and I know precisely when that happened. I visited Hawaii 10 years ago over the course of a winter season, once in Oct. and once in February. It was the “twice” that did it. Fell in love…with warmth. Haven’t been the same since. I promptly quit ski club and haven’t gone skiing since. I hate cold. Which brings me to….I’m heading south to better and warmer weather…way south. So write lots and I look forward to catching up when I get back. Don Maureen-

Basketball is a very good reason to love winter. Clinton Square is much more picturesque in the winter. Also, my Cub pack goes camping in the winter - which is not as bad as it sounds. 30 degrees and lots of snow make for very happy boys! S.U. Basketball is a very good reason to love winter.
