Where Were You, To See S.U.?

March 11, 2010

I was out of the house on business today and missed the Syracuse-Georgetown game.  I can’t be the only one whose work precluded supporting our team on a Thursday afternoon.  How about you?  Did you find your way to a TV today,  or did you have to work?  Or did you manage to do both?   Tell me where you watched.  I promise I won’t call the boss.

Maureen, I was at the Retreat in Liverpool. Mostly business men on a long lunch. I was so bummed. This team is outstanding but there was an omen that you can’t beat the same team 3 times in a season. Especially your biggest, long time rival. Anyway I can’t multi-task anymore. I was dealing with meds/insurance coverage, trying to get a book for my grandson who forgot to order and I missed a good Irish Party at MacNamaras Pub in Camilllus. My granddaughter was dancing at 7 and 9. I should have gone in and ridden with my son, which was my original plan. I have trouble driving in dark. He called me and wondered where I was. She will be dancng at the Hotel on Sat. and I will be there for sure. Go SU. I am still dressed in my orange. I have some great pictures of my grandson at the Villanova game. I need to learn how to post pictures on your blog. Carol

Carol you gave it the old college try, wedging in all that stuff and still rooting for the team. Props to you! How proud you must be that your granddaughter will dance at the hotel on Saturday. I have been consulting with my Web Buddha about receiving reader photos and we haven’t figured out a way on this blog website. But thank you for the interest. It tells me I must keep trying. xo

Good Mornin Maureen, I was doing my bus driving thing with the Onondada elders group to Oneida. They are all big SU fans in all sports so we listened on the radio a short time ,then I made it to the casino employee cafeteria that has four tv screens, watched the first half there. I went back to the Onenia Elders Center and watched the second half ,but could not pull off the onslaught for SU ,so I guess it was my fault they got beat. Sorry!!!!

So, Denny you’re the one who jinxes the team? I thought it was I! Glad you caught the action on your bus.

I was at work, keeping track of the game with updates from Syracuse.com. Television would have been better, but just wasn’t possible. I’m more worried about A.O. than losing to Georgetown. At least it wasn’t Louisville!

Yes Pat, We’re all worried about him. Prognosis is good thank goodness.

No way I was going to be inside on a March day like that – I missed it because I was outside with my little one playing, walking, watching him with his friends – gosh those 3 days of sun & warm temps were a welcome reprieve.
