I like the idea about vertical roads. I have been waiting for the "Jetson car" to be invented all these years. It would also be great to be able to program the car and let it do the work! Thanks for the fun ideas, Maureen!

Too much time? For you, I don't think there are enough hours in the day sometimes! Crazy....I can do crazy, and it only took 1/2 glass of wine!
How about a chip, under the skin, that sends instructions to the brain....to make any golf swing...a perfect golf swing. Now why would a frustrated golfer think of that? Or it could be a perfect swing of the bat, or throw of the football ... manufactured athletes. Not that they're not already partially that!
Or.....a headset thingie you put on that allows you to operate a computer...with just your thoughts. A step or 3 beyond voice recognition. You could just type anything you wanted just by thinking of the letter, or function. From mind to product, without touching a thing, or saying a word.
OK, I think I'll finish that glass now.

Greetings from snowy Syracuse Carol, where the wind chill is below zero, but the Florida chill is big news up here too. Good thing you packed warm clothes just in case. Lasagna sounds wonderful on a night like tonight. Thanks for your continued compliments about my ideas. Gee, I wonder if any publisher would be interested in a book with a run of two; you and Don. :) I rake the roof every time we get around 4 inches which is nearly every day. It's working pretty well to keep the icicles at bay. And I used to ski like a maniac when I was a teenager, bombing down the old fashioned resorts in the New Hampshire White Mountains, mostly, but also some in Vermont and Whiteface at Lake Placid. I haven't been on skiis since I was pregnant with Charlie 21 years ago but I'll get back to it one of these days for sure. Do you ski? Yes, let's get together for that coffee when you return. I think it would be fun. Stay warm down there! Maureen

Maureen, I'm with Don. You are amazing. Your mind must work overtime. I had to read your blog a few times before I could absorb it all. Save this blog for that book of porch stories you're going to write. Well I'm not on the beach becasue the wind chill is in the thirties and there has been snow sightings. We have a great house to be holed up in. I'm making lasagna today, friends are at a Flea Market. Lots of activities have been cancelled due to the unusual cold. Went to a fun Irish Pub for fish last night and entertainment. Going back to see the game tomorrow as we can't get it on TV. We've never had trouble other years. I did get to walk the beach yesterday and Thursday bundled up in my Arctic fleeces. I could really go for your "Harnessing a year's worth of comfort." Melting that snow and ice. Are you still shoveling the roof? Do you ski. Meeting you for a cup of coffee would be great. Stay warm. Carol

Good Mornin Maureen, There is dog food already on the market that has very little waste. Food made like that for us folks will eliminate the toilet, of course the taste of the food could be like dog food, but, we can work on that! All the organs that we don't use now and some we do use now will be eliminated before birth. No more tonsils, appendix, and any other organ that we won't need because of our new food intake. I am sure I won't see it but our kids will and boy will they think how tough our lives were, like we think of our granparents.

Maureen-
You are amazing...where do you get all this stuff? And how do you think of all the future stuff? I'm thinking it's just the way your mind works (24/7!) with a little timely help from some wine.
OK, I will raise the cork on a bottle and see if any creativity floats out...I do love it when you engage us like this!
