You may not be familiar with the name, but you’ve probably seen his work, especially if you read The New Yorker magazine. The cartoons he creates with captions that nail the human condition are first-rate. I have a book of them. Here are a few examples to make you smile. I hope you like them. I’ll add more in the future.

The next cartoon should be by Maureen with drawing by Christian. “Life… you’ll never get out alive.” That frequent saying of yours is still one of my favorites!
Very cute Catherine! My friend John Ellis, a regular reader of the blog, told me that once and it remains one of my favorites too. Can’t wait to see you in Syr. this weekend.
Hi Maureen, I met a good friend of yours yesterday. I was invited to play Bridge in a tournament at the Corinthean Club. I was reluctant as I am very rusty in that area. However I went and spent some time with Ruth Brown. Such a lovely lady. I had met her on Election Day a few years ago and I mentioned to her the wonderful Blog you did on her husband. I told her one of my dreams was to meet you for coffee or even a glass of wine. I would have sent this by E mail but it wouldn’t respond to your E mail to me. Just had to let you know.
Carol, I do think the world of Ruth and the whole family. Let’s do meet for coffee soon. I would love it. I’ll be in touch.
Good Mornin Maureen, Great sense of humor on this mornings read. Let me try one from The Swamp. Here are old persons daily thoughts. (Try to remember tomorrow what was new yesterday. ) Now is that really today?
Denny, it’s a good thing I attempted an answer after my coffee.
